The proper troubleshooting steps required to resolve these issues will also be discussed and then demonstrated to ensure the student has a solid understanding of these important concepts.

Understanding SMTP
Welcome to the module entitled, "Understanding SMTP. " My name is Justin Harris. So what are we going to cover in this module? Well in this module, I'm going to lay the groundwork by talking about the common forms and methods of communication that we all use in our day-to-day lives. And this is really going to show the parallel of how electronic communication works under the covers. Then, I'm going to explain what the simple mail transport protocol, or SMTP, is, what the protocol does, and how it does it. As part of this discussion, I'm going to review the history of SMTP, and examine why it was invented in the first place, and what problem was it introduced to actually solve. Finally, we're going to look at SMTP in action, and I'm going to demonstrate how SMTP works by using telnet to send a simple email message. And that demonstration is really going to drive home how the SMTP conversation actually plays out.

What Is Microsoft Exchange & Office 365?
What is Microsoft Exchange and Office 365? In this module, I'm going to explain exactly what Microsoft Exchange on premises is and how it empowers collaboration in the enterprise. I'm also going to explain about Microsoft's subscription-based multi-tenant messaging platform called Office 365. Once you have a firm understanding of what both platforms are, and are not, I'm then going to discuss the similarities of each platform and then what is different.

Well, we're going to take a look at all the different methods that are available to us that can be used to troubleshoot problems when users have difficulty accessing Exchange. I'm going to examine several different methods that you can employ to quickly determine if this is a global problem with Exchange that's affecting a large number of users, or is this an isolated case that may be just affecting one user? Quickly determining the scope of the problem will help ensure that we provide the best possible support to our end users, but first we need to listen. All right. Enough with PowerPoint. I'm going to spend the majority of this module showing you several troubleshooting steps that are at your disposal that's going to help you quickly determine the scope of the issue for your user.

Creating and Managing Objects within Microsoft Exchange
Welcome to module eight, Creating and Managing Objects within Microsoft Exchange. My name is Justin Harris. In module eight we're going to look at how to create and then manage all the different types of objects found within Exchange 2013. I'm gonna walk you through how to create and configure user objects and mailboxes and how to set up contacts. How to create and manage groups and also shared mailboxes, and then lastly, how to migrate mailboxes from one database to another Exchange 2013 Mailbox database.
