In this course, we perform a comprehensive survey of all interior and external personal computer (PC) hardware. The subject matter maps to every objective in the Hardware domain of the CompTIA A+ 220-901 certification exam. This is the second course in a series of five courses to prepare you for the CompTIA A+ 220-901 certification exam.
Display Types Hello there and welcome to Pluralsight. Tim Warner welcoming you the module entitled Display Types. In our CompTIA A+ 220-901 Learning Path, we cover every single line item, every objective, from CompTIA's published exam objectives. You can download those objectives for yourself at comptia. org, the first course serves as an introduction, then we do Hardware, which is where we are right now, we're in the final stretch really of that course, next up is Networking, Mobile Devices and then Troubleshooting. In the Hardware course, just a quick nutshell tour, we begin that with BIOS and UEFI Tools, then proceed it into a Motherboard Component tour, after which we started drilling into specific motherboard areas like RAM, PC Expansion bus, Storage Devices, the Processor and Cooling, PC Connection Interfaces, the Power Supply, Custom PC Configurations, where we are right now, talking about the display, PC Connector Types, Common Peripherals, Small Office Home Office Devices, Print and Imaging Technologies, and Printer Maintenance. The objectives for this module are pretty straightforward, we're going to look at display types and display features, remember that the way computers work, it's really quite simple when it gets down to brass tacks, we have input, processing and output. And as I'm sure you know, the display device represents the output side of that equation. .
Printer Maintenance Hey there and welcome to Pluralsight. Tim Warner here welcoming you to the final module in the hardware course for A+ 220-901. This module is called printer maintenance. We at Pluralsight have a learning path set up to guide you from end to end in your preparation for the CompTIA A+ 220-901 exam. That learning path begins, well, at the beginning with an introduction. We are literally on the last module of the hardware course right now. If you're following these courses in sequence, next up is Networking followed by Mobile Devices and resulting ultimately in Troubleshooting. As the Grateful Dead used to say, what a long, strange trip it's been. The table of contents for this hardware course began with the BIOS and UEFI setup tools, then into the motherboard and associated hardware, like RAM and PC expansion cards, storage devices, CPUs, cooling, PC connection interfaces, cables and connectors part one in other words, the power supply, custom PC configurations, display types, PC connector types, or as I say, cables and connectors part two, common peripherals, SOHO devices, print and image technologies, and here we are at the end of the road with printer maintenance. Our learning objectives are pretty straightforward. CompTIA wants us to know the basics of maintaining laser printers, inkjet printers, thermal printers, and impact printers. Why don't we need to know about maintaining virtual printers? Haha, I'll leave that to you to answer. We covered that in the previous module. Let's get started. Our specific CompTIA A+ objective here is 1. 15 that says given a scenario, perform appropriate printer maintenance.
